Let's get things rolling with Carly Simon, Trooper, Billy Paul, Aerosmith, the O'jays and Led Zepplin - just to name a few of the artists who appear on this week's show.

Don Suhan of WFSN and WXED sent a long a great oldie by the Tokens, and we play it later in the first hour of the show. Listen for it - and thanks Don for not only the request, but the track as well.

Radio Action continues to provide music to not only an appreciative internet audience, but to several radio stations as well. Welcome listeners to WFSN, WXED, WLDJ, WRSG and WELT. Thanks for tuning us in, on the radio on on the internet.

Friends: Today we continue the series be originally began on November 16, 2015, Radio Action and Sound Track of the Sixties SOUND-A-THON 1967. The 2015 programs ran about 75 minutes - there were 15 in all.

Listeners to the five stations we now provide programming to have never heard these shows, and that is a shame as there are some great memories in these programs.

Continuing on this week, Radio Action and Sound Track of the Sixties is revisiting SOUND-A-THON 1967 and then coupling it to a Juke Box segment to bring the whole thing up to 2 hours!

This is program #3 in the 15 show series. For some, a visit back in time. For others, new programming. Please, give us a click and enjoy a look back at the music that WAS the 1960's - hits from the late 50's and then from 1960 to 1967. We remember - and you can too.

Cheers Don....

Friends: Here comes a mid-week treat! Today, over the first hour of the program, I dig into the 70's archive of music and play some tunes - a few I am hearing for the very first time.

Even though Radio Action has a reasonably large music vault, I must confess to not having played all that is there. Today I found a few tunes that I had never heard and thought they deserved some air play.

It is great to have James Murphy still with us - even if it is in replay mode. As many now know, James has hung up his headphones and turned off the mic and will pursue a new avenue of interest going forward. Kudos to him for that, and thanks to him for his support over the past 9 years.

Now, why don't you either click on the player, or download to a device of your choosing and lets get the show started!

Thanks to all for supporting Radio Action. Downloads of this program from both sites are amazing and are growing week to week.

Cheers for now.

Friends: On November 16, 2015, Radio Action and Sound Track of the Sixties began a 15 week musical marathon we called SOUND-A-THON 1967.

The programs ran about 75 minutes - there were 15 in all. Listeners to the five stations we now provide programming to never heard these shows, and that little detail we are in the process of rectification.

So, beginning last week and continuing on this week, Radio Action and Sound Track of the Sixties will be revisiting SOUND-A-THON 1967 and then coupling it to a Juke Box segment to bring the whole thing up to 2 hours!

This is program #2 in the 15 show series.

For some, a visit back in time. For others, new programming. Please, give us a click and enjoy a look back at the music that WAS the 1960's - hits from 1960 to 1967.

We remember - and you can too.

Cheers Don.....

Friends: As many of you now know, our good friend and segment contributor, James Murphy, is leaving the wonderful world of podcasting and broadcasting.

And as you all know, James has been an integral part of our programming, here and on Sound Track of the Sixties.

Doing a program without James' segments will seem odd - and after much thought, I could come up with nothing better to replace him with..........UNLESS!!!......a James Murphy Reprise! That's right - I have decided to dig into the archives - all the way back to Motown and More, and replay many of his presentations.

Some you will hear for the first time, and others you might remember. But, suffice it to say, there are many new radio listeners who have never heard the Motown and More segments and many of the Missing in Actions ones too.

So, beginning here and now, James will be in REPLAY MODE and I am happy to do it!

Join us on the show. Al is here with Retrospective, James in replay mode, Michael with news and me - me??? with music!

Now, give us a click and get ready for a little platter and chatter.

Cheers

Friends: This is a somewhat special Radio Action Rock, Roll and Remember program this week. Today we get a chance to give kudos to 2 very special people - one a long time listener and the other, a long time contributor.

In the first hour of the program I feature 7 tunes that were requested by long time listener and oft contributor, Tim Adams. He asked for 7 tunes to be played in a specific order - and when you listen, you will understand why!

Later in the hour, Al Murphy drops by with a Memory Lane segment and a tribute to our long time segment contributor, James Murphy (no relation to Al). James has decided to move on from his podcast and broadcast commitments and of course, we wish him nothing but the best in anything he puts his hand to. Al recognizes James in the first Memory Lane segment.

And music! Lots of music!

Rock, Roll and Remember - all right here on Radio Action.

Give us a Click - you just might like what you hear.

Cheers from the Radio Action Team
