Every Wednesday, Radio Action publishes what is known around here as the "flagship program" - the one program that has been a mainstay of Radio Action for 12 years now.
And it just keeps getting better, with "new" oldies and great commentaries by our friend Al Murphy - Retrospective now heard in both hours, and Sport de Jour at 50 during hour 1.
There is lots to come over here for - give us a click and find out.
And thanks for dropping by.
Cheers for now.

So, lets start out spring on a good note - or a few good notes - with this week's Radio Action ROCK, ROLL AND REMEMBER.
Join Al and me for two hours of tunes you will remember from the past - and turn up the volume for Memory Lane at the bottom of both hours as Al takes us out into the country!

Friends: Sorry for the "lateness" of the posting of this program for the week. Every once in a while, real life gets in the way of the hobby and having fun. Normally Rock and Talk is recorded on Tuesdays for early Wednesday posting - but not this week.
However, all good things come to those who wait! And this week I do believe we have a fantastic music mix and would love to share it with you.
Give us a click - you will like what you hear. Money back guarantee.......LOL...
Have a great rest of the day.
Cheers for Radio Action

March 09, 2018 06:00 AM PST
Friends: The end of a week and a Flashback Friday. And time for us to delve once again into the musical archives in the shack out back, the "groove yard" for some musical memories.
This week we take a look at the week of April 8, 1967 and the top 20 tunes that we listened to, way back then.
At the conclusion of the countdown, Al drops by with two tunes from north of the 49th - Canadian Reflections keeps you entertained until I step up to the mic with a block of rock.
And before you know it, two hours has started and ended.
And you have been entertained, Radio Action style.
Thanks for listening,

Lets kick things off with two hours chock-a-block full of memories - music that was the sound track of our lives many years ago.
Join me and Al for Rock, Roll and Remember. I will spin the tunes and Al will drop by at the bottom of both hours with his Memory Lane segments - and this week is a treat - he plays some fun tunes - but you have to listen to know what they are.
Thanks for keeping Radio Action bookmarked and playing on your device of choice. Many listeners download the shows and listen on the go. It only takes a moment to do it!
Now, lets get the show started. Give us a click and lets Rock, Roll and Remember.

March 02, 2018 06:00 AM PST
Friends: Welcome to March and the first Radio Action program of a new month. And....it is FLASHBACK FRIDAY and time for another romp down a survey of a week in time - this week, April 2, 1966.
I hope you can join us for this program and live once again through the medium of music, those times you enjoyed as a teen.
Following the survey countdown, stay with us as Al drops by with Canadian Reflections - two hits from artists with Canadian roots.
And following all that, I swing into action with a 30 minute BLOCK OF ROCK - this week, music from the 70's
What a show! What a line-up of music.
All we need to make it complete is YOU.
Drop by won't you. You might be glad you did!
For Sound Track and Radio Action.
Don and Al.....RADIO ACTION ROCK AND TALK (Platter and Chatter) 528 - February 28-18
February 28, 2018 06:00 AM PST
Friends: In case you haven't checked, this is the last day of February. And another month closer to SUMMER. I have to admit the rain, wind and snow is getting me down.
However, I do have the music to keep my spirits up - because music soothes the soul and in the case of Radio Action music, also congers up lots of great memories.
Join us for the mid-week romp through the RA Archives of Music with this Rock and Talk program. We like to think there is something here for everyone!
Take care and we will see you all in March.
Cheers from Radio Action.
Al.....RADIO ACTION ROCK, ROLL AND REMEMBER 145 - February 26-18
February 26, 2018 11:19 AM PST
Friends: Here we go - the start of the last week of February. I am not sure what it is like where you are, but here on the coast we had a rather large dump of the white stuff which set the city into "crawl" mode for a day or so.
All is well now as streets are clear, the temperature is well above freezing and all is melting as it should at this time of the year.
So, to begin the week - the last week of February, lets all get together for a couple of hours and ROCK, ROLL AND REMEMBER.
Join Al and me for yet another journey down a musical memory lane.
Thanks for turning us on.
Cheers from Radio Action.
Don and Al.....
Three times each week, Big Daddy Donald Roberts and the swinging men from the Action Den, bring you GOLDEN OLDIES from the studios of Radio Action. Listen to some of the greatest music of all time with emphasis on the '60's and '70's.
During the Radio Action ROCK AND TALK program, Al Murphy visits on the 20's with RETROSPECTIVE - a 20/20 look back on issues of interest to Al, and hopefully you as well. Al also returns later in the program with SPORT DE JOUR - a look at everything "sport."
Michael Godin from Treasure Island Oldies stops by at the top of the hour with ROCK AND ROLL NEWS and James Murphy, all the way from Cambridge England, provides listeners with spectacular "choons" during his MISSING IN ACTION segment heard at the 25 minute mark of the first hour of the show.
Yours truly, Big Daddy fills in all the gaps with light banter and awesome music.
Radio Action - ROCK, ROLL AND REMEMBER is a program of mostly music that will keep you rocking and rolling - a fast paced two hours of some of the greatest hits of all time.
And Radio Action - SOUND TRACK OF THE SIXTIES looks at that incredible decade of music, featuring all the hits of our youth in a fast moving hour (plus) of survey countdowns. It is a blast!
Big Daddy Donald Roberts: I am a retired print plant manager, who has a love of music and radio - in 1967 I went to broadcasting school, and earned my diploma. Then real life kicked in, and I found a job at a printing company, where I stayed for the next 38 years. I have always had some kind of home studio, and it is there where donspodradio was born. Now I can do what I love, and do it for people who also love the music and listen to the program each week. Al Murphy is also a retiree from the same company - I was in Manufacturing and he in Human Resources! Al resides in Fergus, Ontario, which is a little bit west of Toronto - I on the other hand, live in Coquitlam, British Columbia, a bedroom community of Vancouver. When I started the donspodradio websites back in February, 2006, Al was the very first visitor - it wasn't long before he had recorded some promos for the station, and as they say, the rest is history. Now, every week Al drops by on the 20's with RETROSPECTIVE - his look back at issues of interest to him, and I hope, you as well. Every once in a while, Al either co-hosts a program, or takes over entirely - and his love of the music and information of the times shows through! It takes a bit of engineering to stretch the string tight between the two tin can microphones that link our studios, but it is well worth the effort as I am sure you will agree. So, please join us weekly, as we rock to the sounds of GREAT OLDIES - 5 hours each week right here! Over 8 years in podcasting, and still going strong! We hope you enjoy the weekly program and will take the time to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or through this service provider. Rock on. The Real Big Daddy, Donald Roberts, and the Little Irishman, Al Murphy.
