Friends: Sorry for the delay in getting this show posted for the week. Sometimes life gets in the way of having fun, and my radio "work" is really not work at all but lots of fun - and sometimes has to take a back seat to other commitments.
But good things come to those who wait! And this show is pretty good, even if I do say so myself.
Give us a Click and judge for yourselves. And to those who regularly visit the site and download our work, I do thank you.
Just a programming note - our annual Remembrance Day, Veterans Day program will post late Friday for airplay over the weekend.
Saturday is a day of Remembrance. Please plan to do so!
Thanks for listening.
Don and Al for Radio Action Rock and Talk.....RADIO ACTION ROCK, ROLL AND REMEMBER 128 - November 6-17
November 06, 2017 06:00 AM PST
Friends: Welcome to Monday and another start to the week with our Rock, Roll and Remember Program.
This week the entire program was inspired by long time listener and friend to Radio Action, Mr. Tim Adams - who not only asked for some 'RAIN" songs, but wondered out loud what each of the members of the Beatles were doing "post Beatles."
Up for the challenge (and the research) Al Murphy prepared two Memory Lane segments dealing with each of the FAB 4 and what they did after the famous group's break-up. It is at the bottom of each hour.
And the rest of the show is all about RAIN - and we do hope that for the better part of two hours, we really DO rain on your parade (all in good fun).
So, grab an umbrella, some rain boots and a good wet coast attitude, and join me outside - IN THE RAIN.....
Thanks for listening.

Friends: Here it is, the end of another week and time for Flash Back Friday at Radio Action. As is our custom, we turn to the Sound Track of the Sixties files for the music - this week the 10th in a 15 part series, SOUND-A-THON 1967.
Over the course of the first hour and a bit, you will hear 20 of the best tunes that were played on our radios in the late 50's and up to the summer of 1967. Counting down from 120 and ending at 101.
Then Al drops by with his weekly CANADIAN REFLECTIONS segment, following which I drop the needle on 30 minutes of music from the RA archives.
A great way to end a week - and we do hope you will give us a click.
Cheers for a Friday,

Friends: Welcome to NOVEMBER - I cannot believe that it is now less than two months to go before Christmas! How the time flies from the end of summer to now!
This week I am pleased to introduce a new segment to the program. Along with the usual features, I am very happy to be able to provide you with our RETROSPECTIVE REPLAY at 20 and 40 of hour #2.
Over the 11 years we have been doing this program, Al Murphy has done some amazing work - often doing massive research and then compressing the information into listenable segments - and I was concerned that these masterpieces would be lost forever in the RA archives.
So, beginning today, listen for RETROSPECTIVE REPLAY during the second hour of the Rock and Talk program. This week we remember our friend Mac - and the first two of six parts from our CKW days.
I do hope you will enjoy these features as much as I did hearing them again.
Along with the best music mix you will hear anywhere. Guaranteed! Or your money cheerfully refunded!
Now give us a click and lets start the music!
Dona and Al for Rock and Talk.....RADIO ACTION ROCK, ROLL AND REMEMBER 127 - October 30-17
October 30, 2017 11:05 AM PDT
Friends: Here it is, the day before Halloween and the last broadcast day of October. Wow, how the time gallops along once summer is over!
On this program, Al Murphy sends out a very special dedication to our good friends from China, now residing in the United States. Listen for it during the first segment of Memory Music at the bottom of hour 1.
Every once in a while a program simply "falls together" and this one did just that.
We have a great mix of music that I know you are going to enjoy. All you have to do is give us a "click" and turn up the volume.
And please don't forget to look for our Halloween Special, here until November 1.
Thanks for turning us on and tuning us in.
Cheers for now.

All in all, a great way to spend some time!
Thanks for turning us on and tuning us in!
Cheers for Sound Track and Radio Action.
Don and Al for STOTS.....
Three times each week, Big Daddy Donald Roberts and the swinging men from the Action Den, bring you GOLDEN OLDIES from the studios of Radio Action. Listen to some of the greatest music of all time with emphasis on the '60's and '70's.
During the Radio Action ROCK AND TALK program, Al Murphy visits on the 20's with RETROSPECTIVE - a 20/20 look back on issues of interest to Al, and hopefully you as well. Al also returns later in the program with SPORT DE JOUR - a look at everything "sport."
Michael Godin from Treasure Island Oldies stops by at the top of the hour with ROCK AND ROLL NEWS and James Murphy, all the way from Cambridge England, provides listeners with spectacular "choons" during his MISSING IN ACTION segment heard at the 25 minute mark of the first hour of the show.
Yours truly, Big Daddy fills in all the gaps with light banter and awesome music.
Radio Action - ROCK, ROLL AND REMEMBER is a program of mostly music that will keep you rocking and rolling - a fast paced two hours of some of the greatest hits of all time.
And Radio Action - SOUND TRACK OF THE SIXTIES looks at that incredible decade of music, featuring all the hits of our youth in a fast moving hour (plus) of survey countdowns. It is a blast!
Big Daddy Donald Roberts: I am a retired print plant manager, who has a love of music and radio - in 1967 I went to broadcasting school, and earned my diploma. Then real life kicked in, and I found a job at a printing company, where I stayed for the next 38 years. I have always had some kind of home studio, and it is there where donspodradio was born. Now I can do what I love, and do it for people who also love the music and listen to the program each week. Al Murphy is also a retiree from the same company - I was in Manufacturing and he in Human Resources! Al resides in Fergus, Ontario, which is a little bit west of Toronto - I on the other hand, live in Coquitlam, British Columbia, a bedroom community of Vancouver. When I started the donspodradio websites back in February, 2006, Al was the very first visitor - it wasn't long before he had recorded some promos for the station, and as they say, the rest is history. Now, every week Al drops by on the 20's with RETROSPECTIVE - his look back at issues of interest to him, and I hope, you as well. Every once in a while, Al either co-hosts a program, or takes over entirely - and his love of the music and information of the times shows through! It takes a bit of engineering to stretch the string tight between the two tin can microphones that link our studios, but it is well worth the effort as I am sure you will agree. So, please join us weekly, as we rock to the sounds of GREAT OLDIES - 5 hours each week right here! Over 8 years in podcasting, and still going strong! We hope you enjoy the weekly program and will take the time to email us at email@example.com or through this service provider. Rock on. The Real Big Daddy, Donald Roberts, and the Little Irishman, Al Murphy.
