Friends: Today marks a significant milestone for Radio Action. For those who are attentive to detail, you will notice that each Radio Action file that has been created and published on Podomatic since January 1, 2017 has carried a numeric suffix - the year (17) and the sequential program number (001).

Well, with the completion of this program, we here at Radio Action, have completed the 100th program of the year - 100 new recordings since January.

Not bad for a couple of retired guys to whom this is but a hobby!

So, join us for another Radio Action Presentation of Rock, Roll and Remember.

You might enjoy what you hear!

Thanks all for making us successful and a huge thanks to the good people of WFSN, WXED, WELT, WLDJ and WRSG - all the stations that carry our programming.

Cheers for now.

Friends: When I sat down to begin this program, it was overcast but there did not seem to be any threat of rain. An hour later, the heavens opened and we experienced the first really heavy downpour of fall.

Welcome to autumn and pre-winter on the coast. Rain, rain and more rain.....

It was a great day to be inside - and as my Dad used to say, "the better the day, the better the deed!" The deed today was to play some of the best music you will hear anywhere - and all COMMERCIAL FREE.

Join us for the weekly Rock and Talk program from Radio Action - you just might be glad you did.

Welcome to listeners to radio stations along the Radio Action network - WFSN, WXED, WLDJ, WELT and WRSG.

Now, give us a click and lets do a little rockin' and just a bit of talkin"

Cheers

Friends: In Canada it is Thanksgiving Monday! So to all our Canadian listeners, HAPPY THANKSGIVING. I am sure that you, like me, have a lot to be thankful for this year.

It has been a busy weekend for me, and as it is a statutory holiday and my entire family is off work and here for the day and dinner, getting into the studio is not possible.

So, to keep the music coming while I eat turkey, here is a program from this time two years ago. A Memory Music Replay.

Enjoy the day with family and friends - and for our American listeners - today you are officially CANADIAN and can take the day off work to celebrate with us!

Cheers.

Friends: Can you believe it? Almost the end of September! And here on the west coast, mostly summer like weather continues - sure, the odd day of rain, but for the most part, still very usable days.

Here is the weekly Rock and Talk show from Radio Action. Lots of good tunes on this program including a TOP 10 that features back to back BOBs - all Bob all the time! Yes, ten of the best tunes by the likes of Bob Moore, Bob Dylan, Bobby Bare, Bob Seger, and Bob Luman - to name a few.

James is here with Motown and More, Al with his two part Retrospective Commentary (20 and 40 of hour 1) and Michael at the top of hour 2 with Rock and Roll News.

In between, I play the music!

Friends: I had a little fun on this program. Do you know what an "ear worm" is? Well, and ear worm is a tune, or snippet of a tune that gets lodged in your ear, or in your brain, and you cannot get it out. You hum it, you sing it, you think about it, and often you cannot identify it as to name or artist.

Piero Umilani provides this week's ear worm. As soon as you hear it, you will think "MUPPETS" but this is the ORIGINAL.

And you will be humming it, singing it and thinking it for a while......

Yes, we do play other music too, and some of the tunes featured on this week's show might also cause an ear worm effect - depending on how you relate to them.

I had some fun recording this show - I hope you have fun listening.

Rock, Roll and Remember - Radio Action.

Cheers from the Action Den
